Cadet Program

The Sirius College Cadet Program has enabled students to experience a vast variety of opportunities, such as leadership, responsibility and enhancing outdoor skills. The core values of the Australian Army Cadets are respect, courage, initiative and teamwork. The Cadets were able to utilise these values through the weekly responsibility of being the duty student, creating an insignia for Sirius College's unit, and the cadet's cooperation in assisting one another. Despite temporarily being online, Cadets were still able to manage and learn efficiently, applying their knowledge into action.

Although the students have only been Cadets for a short period of time, students look forward to the sessions every week. As one of our Cadets said, "at first I was scared of joining as I thought it would be very disciplinary and strict. Even though it is, I'm glad that I've joined as I have learnt various skills and am thankful for the welcoming and encouraging staff and students." The Cadets are excited to gain more insight and experience through their future camps and sessions as well as putting them into action for the future Cadets!
